In March of 2018, Creech & Associates was selected by the Town of Davidson to perform a Preservation Management Assessment of the historical Davidson School, recognized by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission. This assessment identified features of the building that were character defining as well as strategies to reuse the building effectively while respecting these elements.

After the assessment was completed, town officials made the decision to preserve the building and reuse the space as a new town hall. The two-story building will provide appropriate spaces for community functions, the Board of Commissioners, and town administration, including growth for the next 20 years. Additionally, the building will provide an inspiring office environment with tall ceilings and spaces filled with daylight.
